The Right Takjil to Break the Fast: Juice or Fruit Juice, and Dates with Dry Skin.

Fasting causes the sugar levels in the body to decrease and can lead to mild dehydration, making the body feel weak. That’s why it is recommended to consume sweet foods or drinks when breaking the fast, allowing sugar levels to rise again and the body to regain energy.

However, you shouldn’t just consume sweet items; choosing healthy options is also important. For this reason, it is advised to select juice or fruit juice as your takjil. Additionally, you can choose dates if you prefer not to drink fruit juice. Opt for dates that are still fresh with firm skin. Dates with firm skin are high in fiber, making them beneficial for your health.

After breaking the fast with these sweet and healthy foods, you can perform the Maghrib prayer first before continuing with heavier meals. The menu for breaking the fast should be as complete as the menu for sahur, including complex carbohydrates, fiber, protein, and fat.

Once you finish eating, you can proceed to the Tarawih prayer. However, when you get back home, it is advised to eat again to prepare for the next day. Hope this helps!
