After being successful in their home country Singapore, at the end of October last year, Joe & Dough opened its first outlet in Indonesia, precisely located on the second floor of Plaza Indonesia in Central Jakarta. This cafe combines barista and baker. That’s why Joe & Dough offers coffee specialties, cakes and breads, but there are also salads and main menu.
The difference with outlet in Singapore is Joe & Dough opens in the business center. Customers who come only to grab-and-go coffee and pastry. While in Indonesia the concept is a cafe to relax. That's also why, Joe & Dough offers many food and beverage options on Indonesia menu.
In addition to coffee and pastry, the interior design at this cafe also spoil visitors. The interior is dominated by the earth color with a touch of pastel color. You can choose to sit on the couch, in front of the bar, or in Alfresco area. The alfresco area at Joe & Dough Plaza Indonesia is quite interesting, this area faces a glass wall featuring a mural by local Indonesian artist Muralcon, with a synthetic green grass carpet. No wonder this area is a favorite spot for visitors.

As a cafe with coffee specialty, coffee lovers must taste Joe & Dough’s coffee. The best seller coffee here is JD Cookie Cup (Rp. 55,000), this drink is a warm cappuccino. Uniquely, this coffee is served in a cup made of cookies. The texture of the cookies is very thick, so it can hold a lot of coffee in it.
For the cappuccino, the texture tastes a bit thick with a trace of acidic taste that is quite strong. If you are a fan of coffee, you will like this cappuccino. But for those who don’t really like the strong taste of coffee, you can drink it while eating the cookie cup that taste like gingerbread.
It's incomplete to enjoy coffee without being accompanied by pastry. You can try Matcha Chocolate Croissant (Rp 30,000) which is the best seller for pastry at this cafe. This croissant is served warm. The appearance will definitely tempt you with half the surface of the croissant coated in a light green chocolate matcha. The texture of this croissant is crispy on the outside, but is chewy and soft inside. The croissant blends well with the perfect sweetness from the chocolate matcha.

For heavy meal, you can try Spaghetti Marinara Meatball (Rp. 95,000). This menu is wrapped in a reddish marinara sauce with a sprinkling of parmesan cheese and meatballs. The spaghetti texture has a level of al dente. While the marinara sauce made from tomatoes makes it taste sour but refreshing. The meatballs also good because the meat has right savory taste. Even though it looks like small portion, but Spaghetti Marinara Meatball is guaranteed can fill your belly.
