To realizing optimal services in the integrated mass transportation requires collaboration from various parties, in order to maximize the use of existing transportation modes. The collaboration was manifested in the inauguration of four Integrated Stations which were centered at Tanah Abang Station and Sudirman Station, in Jakarta, last Wednesday (6/17).
 
The Integrated Station which was inaugurated was a form of synergy between the central government and the provincial government of DKI Jakarta. The four stations include Tanah Abang Station, Sudirman Station, Pasar Senen Station, and Juanda Station.
 
As we all know, in early 2020, the Ministry of BUMN and the Ministry of Transportation through PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) and the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta through its BUMD, PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda), made a joint venture to manage integrated stations in the capital which focuses on increasing integration between rail and other transportation modes in Jakarta.
 
To realizing maximum integration in each Integrated Station, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) with DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency and PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) were organized station arrangement which includes regional arrangement, improvement of infrastructure within the station (signage, way finding, etc.), construction of bus stops around the station, management of passenger circulation and vehicles to resolve congestion, as well as KAI's land use permit to support the arrangement activities.
 
In addition to fixing the four pioneering stations, so that the integration of transportation modes runs smoothly, at each Integrated Station, arrangements are also made for the convenience of passengers while waiting by providing land for settling and going up and down online motorcycle taxi, regular motorcycle taxi, bajaj, small buses (Jak Lingko and regular buses), etc.

Not only the arrangement for public transportation, the arrangement of facilities and infrastructure were also carried out, including fixing the corridors and pedestrian facilities, TransJakarta bus lay bays, providing directional signs, to organizing street vendors.
 
Attended the inauguration, Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan, Managing Director of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Didiek Hartantyo, Managing Director of PT Jakarta MRT Perseroda William Sabandar, and Managing Director of PT MITJ Tuhiyat.
 
"The inauguration of the Integrated Station shows that healthy ecosystems have been developed between BUMN, BUMD, and the private sectors in providing integrated transportation services for the community. This is also what President Jokowi want that Jakarta as the capital city has integrated transportation management system that is interconnected," said Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir.
 
The reorganization of the Integrated Station is an urban regeneration step by restructuring Jakarta in the development of the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) which is supported by development in the integrated public transportation sector under Jak Lingko.
 
The Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, also expressed his appreciation to the government, "The integration of transportation modes can be realized through good synergy and collaboration from all groups, from the government through the Ministry of SOEs, the Ministry of Transportation, local governments, to the private sectors. From the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta through the Department of Transportation, the Department of Bina Marga, the Department of City Parks and Forestry, PT. MRT Jakarta, PT Transjakarta, Perumda Sarana Jaya and Perumda Pasar Jaya," he explained.
 
The same thing was conveyed by the Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi, "We welcome the inauguration of these Integrated Stations which will further facilitate access for transportation service users to switch modes. Their trip becomes more efficient because it saves time and money," he explained.
 
The existence of the Integrated Stations which also has the support of the private sectors both taxi entrepreneurs and online motorbike taxi such as Gojek Indonesia and Grab are expected to be able to build optimism and new enthusiasm of the people after the Large-Scale Social Restriction (PSBB) due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Besides also building public trust and concern that public transportation is now more comfortable and safe with all the facilities provided.
 
On the same occasion, the Cooperation Agreement of "Integrated Arrangement of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Stations in DKI Jakarta through the Quick Win Action Plan between the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) and PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda). The next arrangement will be focused on Manggarai Station, Palmerah Station, Gondangdia Station, and Tebet Station.
