1. Tteokbokki
Ingredients:
Gochujang
Steps:
1. Mix rice or wheat flour, tapioca flour and salt. Pour hot water, little by little, to make a soft dough that does not stick.
2. Knead well, let it sit for a while until dough cool.
3. Make a long shape like pipe, cut evenly like little finger or to your liking.
4. Heating water, add little oil, put tteok and cook on medium heat.
5. After tteok has floated, stick a fork if it is properly cooked.
6. Cook garlic and shallots quickly to let the aroma hit its peak. Add chili sauce, tomato sauce, oyster sauce, soy sauce, chili powder, sugar, salt and water.
7. Add tteok, stir well, ensure all tteok coated in sauce.
8. Served while warm, you can also add chives and boiled eggs.
2. Ramyeon
Ingredients:
Steps:
1. Heating 2 ½ water. Add instant noodle with seasoning, garlic, and chili powder. Cook for a minute open the lid, and stir well.
2. Add egg, sliced leeks, and white or green mustard, cook for another two minutes without stirring. Do not cook for more than two minutes to keep leeks texture stay crisp.
3. Turn off the heat, remove the pan, served while warm.
3. Jjajjangmyeon
Ingredients:
Black Soybean Paste or Chujang
Steps:
1. Heating water, add 400 grams black soybeans, boiled until tender (until water has reduced).
2. Finely slice 7 gloves garlic and smash one-inch piece of ginger.
3. Pour cooking and sesame oil into frying pan, set medium heat. Add garlic and ginger until the aroma hit its peak, set aside.
4. Pureeing boiled black soybeans, garlic, ½ onion, fried garlic and ginger, salt, sugar, and remain oil from frying garlic and ginger until all ingredients covered in.
5. Boil noodle for couple minutes, bring it over medium flame until it soft. Not too long to keep it from soggy texture. Remove noodle from the pan, rinse in cold water.
6. Prepare a bowl, place noodle, and top with chujang.
7. Add sliced cucumbers, sunny side up egg, and white sesame seeds. Served while warm.
