The metal music festival Hammersonic is officially postponed following Corona virus or COVID-19 outbreak. Hammersonic, which is scheduled to be held on 27 to 28 March at Ancol Carnival Beach, North Jakarta, has been postponed to 15 to 17 January 2021. The information was announced by Hammersonic through their official Instagram account @hammersonicfest.
"Dear our loyal & beloved Hammerhead. Due to the growing concerns over the COVID-19 outbreak across the globe and after a carefull coordinatiion with all related parties including artists and the authorities, we regret to inform that Hammersonic Festival in Jakarta is reschedule to 15-17January 2021," Hammersonic announced in their post on Thursday (05/03).
Although the rock music festival has been postponed, tickets that already purchased remain valid for the next year Hammersonic. "However for the official Hammersonic ticket holders, current ticket remain valid for January 2021."

While for Hammerhead who have not yet purchased a ticket, the ticket prices will be different because there is an additional line up. Earlier, one of Hammersonic line-ups Lacuna Coil, an Italian gothic metal band announced their cancellation at Hammersonic 2020 show, due to Corona virus outbreak in their country. Initially, Lacuna Coil will be performing on 28 March 2020.

"We regret to inform our beloved fans of Southeast Asia that we must cancel our upcoming shows in Dubai, Bangkok, Melbourne, Sydney, Tokyo, Osaka, Singapore and Jakarta," Lacuna Coil wrote in their post.
The cancellation of the concert had to be done because of the corona virus that was epidemic in Italy. Lacuna Coil claimed to prioritize the safety of their fans to avoid the worst things. The band, which was formed in 1994, also hopes that the corona outbreak in their country will also end soon.
