DKPKP of DKI Jakarta Province will hold Festival Bahari Jakarta on September 21 to 22, 2019 at Tidung Island, Pramuka Island, and Pari Island.
The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta will hold Festival Bahari Jakarta (FBJ) for two days, starting on September 21 to 22, 2019. The event, initiated by the Department of Food, Maritime and Agriculture (DKPKP) of DKI Jakarta Province, will be held at Tidung Island, Pramuka Island , and Pari Island included in the Thousand Islands cluster.
"Marine nature conservation that has been activated by the DKPKP provincial government team is expected to preserve the marine ecosystem, which of course results from conservation can be enjoyed by the wider community and increase tourist interest for marine tourism on the Thousand Islands." Through this festival, it’s hoped that Jakarta can rise again to become a maritime city. The Jakarta Tourism Forum together with other stakeholders collaborated to make this event success and will continue to oversee this event as a spectacular event and an annual event. "
Festival Bahari Jakarta which is asked as the first maritime folk party in Jakarta has the concept of "Love Our Ocean", which is an invitation to love the sea through marine conservation activities. At this event, there will also beach clean up and clean sea action activities with the slogan Asik (Anti Sampah Plastik).
In addition, there will also marine conservation activities such as coral reef transplants starting with 1,000 coral seedlings, the initiation of 3,000 mangrove seedlings conducted by millennial volunteers from the Maritim Muda community, members of the Tidung Island Scout, and volunteers.
The series of events at Festival Bahari Jakarta 2019 including an underwater photo competition, a coastal cultural photo competition, an open water swimming competition with a distance of 700 meters, and a ornamental boat competition with a total prize of more than Rp 100 million presented by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.
The event, which is fully supported by the Jakarta Tourism Forum, will also be enlivened by the Oceanic Folk Festival (OFF) which brings together the maritime culture of the international community from Africa, Latin America and the Asia-Pacific with the culture of our people.
Not to forget, there will be several artists who helped enliven this festival, including Andi Rif, Kamila, Amelia Ong, Ino Ensemble, and Kupang Hip Hop. As well as several foreign artists including Viva Brazil (Brazil), Supa Kalulu (Zimbabwe), Bennett Brandies (AA), Han Bapeh (Korea), and Sindhu Raj (India).
In addition, Betawi culture will also be performed, such as Wayang Kulit Betawi and Tanjidor Brass Band. Still in the FBJ series, the KPKP Sub-Department will also hold bazaar at Tidung Island, Pramuka Island, and Pari / Lancang Island.
