5 Tricks to Keep Your Luggage Safe While Traveling

Tips to keep your luggage safe while you traveling...

The crowds and carelessness of tourists are usually a factor in theft often occurring at tourist locations. Moreover, many tourists don't know much about this tourist attraction and are busy having fun. But calm down! Alinear will share tricks for keeping your luggage safe while traveling.

1. Research
You just need to do research via the internet. Read blogs from people who have visited the tourist attraction you are going to. You can also ask questions via the Ask a Question feature on Google. Usually, if the place is popular enough, there will be someone to answer your questions.

In Indonesia itself, cities that are quite safe for tourists include Yogyakarta, Solo, Bandung, Bali, Lombok, and Flores. Meanwhile, for those of you who are planning a holiday abroad, countries such as Denmark, Sweden, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, and Iceland are safe countries to visit.

2. Bring a Money Belt
Money belts are different from waist bags. It is thinner and waterproof. Money belts are usually worn under clothing and attached to the stomach. You can buy the best money belt with material that is comfortable to use and a safety belt that doesn't come off easily. On the other hand, avoid using a waist bag or using a money belt outside your clothes. Because it will invite thieves to know where your valuables are.

3. Find out the reputation of the accommodation
It is important for tourists, especially backpackers, to find out the reputation of the place they are staying. Usually on hotel or travel booking sites, there are many reviews from tourists who have stayed. If you plan to stay at a hostel, remember to always put valuables in a locker, especially when leaving your room. Nowadays, almost all hostels are equipped with lockers.

4. Don't save money in one place
Make sure not to keep all your money in one place. Keep some money in a hidden location, it's not difficult to take out and it's convenient for you. You can keep money in your inner jacket pocket or trouser pocket at the front which is quite deep.

5. Don't be flashy
Even if you are a tourist, try not to be flashy, just look simple, such as not wearing jewelry or other expensive items. Also, try not to look like a confused person when you come somewhere. Always alert, both actions and facial expressions. One more thing, don't easily accept suspicious offers from strangers.
