When applying for a job, the interview stage is one of the determinants of whether or not someone is accepted for the position being applied for. Therefore, at this stage candidates are required to prepare themselves to pass to the next stage. Job interviews are usually conducted face to face, but if conditions do not permit job interviews can also be conducted by telephone. So, before the job interview starts, prepare yourself with the 5 tips below!

1. Prepare Your Phone
So that your job interview can go smoothly, it's a good idea to prepare your phone. For example, if you are being contacted on a cellphone number, prepare a full or sufficient battery and also make sure the signal where you are is good. If a job interview has to be interrupted because your cellphone battery runs out or the signal is bad, that would be a shame, wouldn't it?

2. Do it in a quiet room
Another thing that can also help a telephone job interview run smoothly is that it should be done in a quiet room. This is so you can hear clearly what the interviewer is asking. Apart from that, your conversation with the interviewer will not be disturbed by other sounds. You can also tell people around you not to disturb or call you first because you are going to have a job interview.

3. Pay attention to speech intonation
Feeling nervous when facing a job interview is quite common. However, don't let this affect your speaking intonation. Because over the telephone, of course, the interviewer cannot see you directly, and speaking intonation is one thing that can only be assessed by the interviewer. So make sure you answer questions with good and polite intonation.

4. Prepare Yourself Summary
Usually, the first thing an interviewer asks for during a job interview is a self-introduction. So that you don't miss anything, you can prepare a summary such as a CV or resume that you can read when answering this first question.

5. Prepare Answers
Before the job interview begins, you can guess what questions will arise. You can research commonly asked job interview questions to prepare your answers. Don't get too hung up on standard answers but rather show that you are the right candidate for the position you are applying for through your answers. Good luck!
