5 Natural Tourist Destinations in Indonesia That Are Similar to Foreign Destinations

Prisca Akhaya

Indonesia has natural tourist destinations similar to and no less beautiful than those abroad. What are they? Check here!

Indonesia is renowned for its stunning natural attractions and rich culture. Many tourist destinations are still relatively undiscovered but offer views as breathtaking as those in popular destinations like the African savanna or the Maldives. Look at some unique tourist destinations that could make for an exciting vacation!

1. Savana Bekol: African-style Savanna in Situbondo

In Savana Bekol, Situbondo, the expanse of fields where exotic animals roam resembles various African savannas during the dry season. Savana Bekol is part of Baluran National Park. During the peak of the dry season, the grass in Savana Bekol dries up, creating an exotic view. Many wild animals, including deer, buffalo, and peacocks, cross this area. I'm interested in this place.

2. Pink Beach, Komodo: Twin Beach of Pink Sand Beach on Bahamas Island

The Bahamas Islands are renowned for their stunning beaches, such as the Pink Sand Beach. The blend of pink sand and turquoise water creates a soothing and mesmerizing sight. You don't have to travel to the Bahamas to experience this beauty. In the Komodo Islands, East Nusa Tenggara, a beach called Pink Beach, is just as breathtaking as the Pink Sand Beach in the Bahamas. Here, you can fully enjoy beach activities while soaking in the natural beauty of the surroundings.

3. Maron River: Exploring the River Like in the Amazon

In Pacitan, East Java, there is the Maron River, which can be explored similarly to the Amazon River in South America. Tourists can enjoy a boat trip with a capacity of 5-6 people along the Maron River. They can also take in the scenery along the pristine river and tall trees. The river flows into Ngiroboyo Beach, which is another spot worth exploring.

4. Jomblang Cave: Caving with Divine Light

Have you ever tried caving or exploring a cave? Jomblang Cave in Yogyakarta was one of Indonesia's first popular caving destinations. It is located in a remote area and features a vertical cave that requires special equipment for access, making it an attraction for adventurers. The beauty of Jomblang Cave is enhanced by its location, as sunlight penetrates to the bottom, similar to Stephens Gap in the United States.

5. Pulo Cinta: Affordable Honeymoon with Stunning Views

Who doesn't know about the Maldives? This small island, with its white sandy beaches and beautiful island tourism, is located in southern Asia and has become a popular romantic honeymoon destination for newlyweds. However, before booking tickets to the Maldives, it's a good idea to consider visiting Pulo Cinta in Patoameme, Botumoito, Boalemo, and Gorontalo. Pulo Cinta has a resort in villas built on the sea, offering a clear view of Tomini Bay. An exciting activity to enjoy with your partner while on vacation here is snorkeling. Sounds exciting, right?
